Mae rheoliad 15 (5) o Reoliadau Cyfrifon ac archwilio (Cymru) 2014 (fel y’i diwygiwyd) yn ei gwneud yn ofynnol, erbyn 30 Medi 2021, i Cyngor Cymuned Llanrug  gyhoeddi ei ddatganiadau cyfrifyddu ar gyfer y flwyddyn a ddaeth i ben 31 Mawrth 2021 ynghyd ag unrhyw dystysgrif, barn neu adroddiad a gyhoeddwyd, a roddwyd neu a wnaed gan yr Archwilydd Cyffredinol.

Mae’r datganiadau cyfrifyddu ar ffurf ffurflen flynyddol wedi’u cyhoeddi ar wefan y Cyngor. Fodd bynnag, cyhoeddir y cyfrifon cyn i’r archwiliad ddod i ben. Oherwydd effaith COVID-19, nid yw’r Archwilydd Cyffredinol wedi cyhoeddi barn archwilio eto.

Ffurflen archwilio 2020-2021

Regulation 15(5) of the Accounts and Audit (Wales) Regulations 2014 (as amended) requires that by 30 September 2021, Llanrug Community Council publish its accounting statements for the year ended 31 March 2021 together with any certificate, opinion, or report issued, given or made by the Auditor General.

The accounting statements in the form of an annual return have been published on the Council’s website. However, the accounts are published before the conclusion of the audit. Due to the impact of COVID-19, the Auditor General has not yet issued an audit opinion.

If so, have you considered becoming a community councillor? The council is eager to fill two seats to represent Llanrug ward.

What is a community council?

It is the tier of local government nearest to the people. It plays an important role in representing the interests of the community it serves, acting to improve the quality of life, the local environment, and provides services to meet local needs. The council raises most of its income by raising a ‘precept’, which is an amount, collected with the council tax each year.

What does Llanrug Community Council do?

• maintenance of two playing fields at Llanrug (Pwll Moelyn and Nant y Glyn);
• maintenance of two playing fields at Cwm y Glo (Dolafon and Allt Goch).
• skate park (Cwm y Glo);
• responsibility for coordinating and installation of 4 defibrillators within the area.
• kept the youth club at Llanrug open.
• the maintenance of the car park (next to Spar);
• reporting on planning applications to Gwynedd Council.
• maintenance and the care of the bus shelters in Llanrug and Cwm y Glo.
• providing financial support to local organisations in grants.
• administering the council’s discretionary grant for individuals.
• provide Christmas trees and lights for Llanrug and Cwm y Glo.
• care and upkeep of Llanrug cemetery.
• to arrange litter picking days in Llanrug and Cwm y Glo.
• to arrange the provision of grit during the winter.
• to maintain the council’s website.
• the upkeep and maintenance of public footpaths.
• grass cutting in front of estates
• administrating the food share scheme

To be eligible to sit as a councillor you must be a British, Commonwealth, Irish or a European Union citizen and be 18 years of age or over; and meet at least one of the following criteria:

• registered as a local government elector for the area named above; or
• during the whole of the last 12 months occupied as owner or tenant land or other premises within Llanrug community council area; or
• your principal or only place of work during the last 12 months has been within the Llanrug Community Council area; or you have during the whole of the last 12 months resided in the Community or with 4.8 kilometres of it.

Certain people are disqualified from standing, and these include paid officers of the community council, anyone subject to bankruptcy restriction orders and those subject to recent sentences of imprisonment.

LLANRUG COMMUNITY COUNCIL
CASUAL VACANCY – LLANRUG WARD

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN of a casual vacancy in the office of councillor in Llanrug ward on Llanrug Community Council.

An election will be held to fill the vacancy if a request in writing for an election which includes the signatures of ten electors of the said ward is sent to: The Returning Officer, Gwynedd Council, Council Offices, Caernarfon, Gwynedd LL55 1SH within the period ending at 12 noon on Monday, 7 June, 2021.

In the absence of a request for an election, the vacancy will be filled by the Community Council.
